Courtney’s Burlap Dress

on April 5, 2014

I just read about Courtney Barich, a grade 12 student from Surrey, B.C.

Courtney is trying to raise ten thousand dollars to donate to the St. Martin De Porres orphange in the Phillipines.  After visiting the orphanage in March, she decided that she had to do something to help.  While shopping for a prom dress with her mother, Courtney came up with the idea of pledging to wear a burlap dress to her prom, if she can raise the $10,000.

Way to go Courtney! You are an inspiration.  Reading your story gives me hope for the world.
